Andreas Dybdahl, a senior at Santa Barbara High in California, placed second in the Division 2 boys final by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 15:05.3 at Woodward Park in Fresno at the CIF State Cross Country Championships. Dybdahl helped the Dons capture their first boys team title with a 91-114 triumph against Channel League rival Ventura, with Newbury Park taking third at 115 points.
